Mariellen Jacobs, founder of RAD is a graphic designer by trade and a mother/activist for RAD by heart. She wears many hats while working toward the goal of making every bunk and loft bed safe for our children and future generations. A devoted mother of two and a resident of Georgia for almost 26 years, her passion is to drive for lasting change in institutional bed design to prevent future accidents like Clark’s from happening.
Clark Jacobs, (aka Superman) is co-founder of RAD and a Mechanical Engineering major at Georgia Institute of Technology. He is the driving force and inspiration behind RAD and is motivated every day to tell his story to every college student he can reach. Clark returned to GT in August of 2016 and plans to graduate in 2019.
Jaye Pniewski, has been a successful make up artist for over 25 years in Film and Television in the Atlanta and Los Angeles markets. An accomplished commercial director, she has done projects for various non profit organizations including Voice Today, an organization
protecting children against child abuse and exploitation, as well as RAD. Jaye has an extensive background in the entertainment world
and brings passion and energy to her work. A mother of three daughters, Jaye is a child advocate who hopes to make a positive impact on issues dealing with any injustice against children.
Ron Jacobs, is Clark’s Dad and treasurer of RAD. Ron is a Senior Research Fellow at Newell Brands in Sandy Springs and in his spare time keeps track of the legal and financial details involved in running a non-profit organization.
